The Moses H. Cone Manor is a historical home and centerpiece of a 3,500-acre estate now known as Moses H. Cone Memorial Park located near Blowing Rock, North Carolina. Moses H. Cone was a leading industrialist during America’s Gilded Age in the late 19th century.

In 2021, an extensive repair and restoration project began on the weathered exterior of the circa-1901 home. Our Aged Cedar Enviroshake was installed by Adam M. Collins Construction. The architect on the project was Josh Putnam at Liollio Architecture.

“Enviroshake gave us a long-lasting roofing option for this historic home while keeping the same textured look of natural cedar. When comparing Enviroshake to other roofing materials, Enviroshake is at the top! They check all the boxes.

I like the way Enviroshake is made and shipped. This is a great product that can save having to install multiple roofs and will last a lifetime. We were very happy with the finished product and will most likely use Enviroshake again.”

When we asked Adam what he would say to another contractor or a homeowner who was considering using Enviroshake, he said, “Let us give you a roof that has character and durability for many years!”

Enviroshake has been used for numerous historic restoration projects mainly due to the industry-leading durability, longevity, and timeless beauty our products offer. Contact us to learn more.

Thank you, Adam M. Collins Construction team and Liollio Architecture, for your efforts on this astonishing historic project.
