enviroshake-facility

Enviroshake® is a pioneer in the composite roofing and siding industry.

Who we are:

In 1998 our company set out with a mandate to create a technologically advanced product to fulfill a market niche in the roofing industry. Today that vision lives on as, the Enviroshake® , Enviroshingle®, and Enviroslate®, which can not only be used for roofing, but have been approved for use as siding as well. All Enviroshake® products are made from composite materials with the Enviroshake® authentically emulating the look of a natural cedar shake, the Enviroshingle® authentically emulating the look of a natural perfection cedar shingle, and new as of Spring 2014, the Enviroslate® authentically emulating the look of natural slate . Both products competes in the specialty/premium roofing and siding markets. Enviroshake® is a leader in the composite roofing market, and there are no other composite or synthetic products available today that can rival the combination of our products’ look, quality, and durability.

Enviroshake® continues to grow steadily, and plans on staying in the fore front of the composite building materials market. Our state of the art production facility is located in Chatham, Ontario, a 1-hour drive east of Detroit/Windsor on Highway 401.

Enviroshake® prides itself on engaging in best practices, and we are always striving to minimize our environmental footstep. Any scrap materials generated during the manufacturing process are recycled back into the system. In fact, the final product itself is recyclable. Enviroshake® also directly diverts any waste materials that are not biodegradable. Enviroshake® is proud that its operation fulfills all the components of the 3R environmental agenda – reduce, reuse and recycle. Most importantly, Enviroshake® has created products that have the visual appeal of cedar and slate roofing, with many added advantages, but most important it can be delivered to the customer without cutting down a single tree.

Enviroshake®  has been assessed and registered on September 27th 2002 by Intertek Testing Services NA Ltd. as conforming to the requirements of the ISO 9001. The Quality Management System is applicable to the design, manufacture and distribution of Enviroshake® composite roofing materials. We are proud to be an ISO registered company committed to quality in manufacturing.

What We Do

Enviroshake®Enviroshingle®, and Enviroslate® are composite roofing and siding products that are designed to authentically replicate the look of natural weathered cedar and slate. The Enviroshake® is designed to replicate a taper sawn cedar shake, while the Enviroshingle® is designed to replicate a perfection cedar shingle. Enviroslate® is designed to replicate natural slate roofing. Predominantly all of the materials (95%) used in the products are reclaimed materials. The Enviroshake® composite blend is a mixture of post-industrial plastic(s), recycled elastomers and cellulosic fibre materials. The proprietary formulation and manufacturing process results in a product that is has enhanced durability, longevity, and performance. Enviroshake® products are not susceptible to mold, mildew, fungus, rot or insect infestation. They are also hail resistant and can withstand severe weather conditions and temperature fluctuations and extremes. Enviroshake®  products can even withstand wind speeds up to 180 MPH (290 km/h)! Both Enviroshake® and Enviroshingle® can be installed efficiently with less waste than traditional cedar, do not require any pretreatment, and once installed are maintenance free. There are no added expenses for preservatives or coatings that are recommended with wood and other products. Enviroslate® can be installed for 1/2 the cost of natural slate.  Enviroshake® products will retain their physical properties and look for decades, and are even sold with a lifetime warranty that is and fully transferable within the first 50 years for residential projects, and a 50 year warranty for commercial projects.
